While these tools have not yet been released at the time of this post, you can still use the Lync 2013 Debugging Tools (OCSLogger) with Skype for Business with this simple fix. If you have upgraded from Lync 2013 Server to Skype for Business Server you would have likely found that your Debugging Tools stopped producing any usable output when running traces.
While you can use the Centralized Logging Service sometimes you just want to use OCSLogger to quickly trace a scenario.
Note: The following is a workaround and not officially supported however seems to work fine. Until the official Skype for Business Debugging Tools are released this will allow you to use the debugging tools we all know and love.
Making it work..
Assuming a default installation of SfB navigate to the following directory and copy the two files you will find there:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Skype for Business Server 2015\Tracing
They copy them to the following location. Overwrite the existing files.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Lync Server 2013\Debugging Tools
After this you will be able to run traces as you previously could. Happy Debugging!
Once the official tools are released I will be sure to update this post.
